Naomi Loomis and her family have been on a number of Disney cruises.
Disney Cruise Line currently operates four ships, including the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Magic, and Disney Wonder. The Line also offers a variety of destinations, such as Europe, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Bahamas, and Alaskan Coast. These cruises offer fun for the whole family, especially young children. Naomi Loomis remembers how much her kids loved meeting and obtaining autographs from their favorite Disney characters.
Aboard a cruise, there are many activities and events catered for children. The youth activities include Disney-themed live shows, pool and deck parties, Disney Character greetings, and activity centers. When her kids were under five years old, Naomi Loomis remembers their favorite events being:
Disney’s Oceaneer Club
This children’s activity center provided the opportunity for kids to dress up as their favorite hero or princess. In addition, video games and other supervised themed activities were available throughout the day.
Character Greetings
Disney Cruises offer a memorable experience with Disney Characters. At the Character Greetings, Naomi Loomis’ kids were able to meet and greet their favorite characters. They obtained autographs and even took pictures with the loveable characters. In addition to the designated areas, the characters may also make surprise appearances around the ship.
Entertainment
The Loomis children also enjoyed live musicals, especially the 50 minute show titled, “All Aboard: Let the Magic Begin.” Live acts, musical performances, and a parade of Disney characters excited the children for the impending voyage. Appearances by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald Duck added to the excitement.
Pools
Disney Cruise Line offers themed freshwater pools, including the family favorite, AquaLab. The kids experienced interactive elements at every turn. A wading pool, moving wheels, pop jets, geysers, and more delighted the Loomis family for hours!
